Shari became a Christian while in college and has since been involved in and supported a variety of ministries. She has been involved in ministries that rescue individuals from sex trafficking where she has been able to use her degree in nutrition to help those who suffer from eating disorders due to abuse.
Shari has also taught in AWANA and middle school youth groups and has recently developed a passion to be more hands-on in volunteering in construction-based ministries, including many MissionConnect projects. She likes the feeling of accomplishing a big or small project, so being a volunteer with MissionConnect and serving on the board combines her love for ministry and projects perfectly.
